Simple and sculptural, the Black Carafe by Ditte Fischer is designed for serving water at the table, but its distinctive form makes it equally beautiful filled with flowers or a few taller branches. Its boat shaped spout echoes the lines of Ditte Fischer’s Boat Bowl collection, giving the piece a sense of movement while keeping the form beautifully simple.

Handmade in Denmark from coloured porcelain clay, the exterior is left unglazed and wet sanded by hand to create Ditte Fischer’s signature silky matte surface, while the interior is glazed for practical everyday use. The deep black colour emphasizes the sculptural silhouette and gives the carafe a strong, graphic presence.

At 27 cm high with a 1 litre capacity, it has enough presence to stand beautifully on its own while remaining a functional piece for the table.
