OUR DANISH DESIGN JOURNEY

For Pia Duvier, Scandinavian design isn't just a trend it's a lifestyle reflected in the relaxed, pared-back style of her Toronto home where she surrounds herself with objects that not only add beauty but also instill a sense of calm and enhance everyday life for her family.

Born and raised in Copenhagen, Pia always had an interest in crafts and decorative arts. While living abroad, working for a Danish furniture and design company in Tokyo, she experienced first-hand how good design can transform a space and improve the quality of life. Then, several years later, after moving with her family to Toronto, the idea of creating a space dedicated to Danish design took hold. So, Pia travelled to Denmark to meet local artisans in their studios and gradually assembled a collection of beautiful curated pieces not widely available outside Scandinavia.

Her vision was to offer authentic Danish design made accessible. Every piece is thoughtfully selected, then carefully packed and shipped to your home - from a cosy wool pillow to a classic vase, each piece brings Denmark’s extraordinary design heritage to your home.

Scandinavian design is about combining beauty, form and function, says Pia. “I love things that are beautiful to look at but are made well and functional. Knowing that something is made by an artisan who puts a lot of time, energy and care into making their products adds soul and warmth to a home and I want to bring that to your home.”
