Nordstjerne - Thoughtful Paper Ornaments, Handcrafted for the Season

Rooted in a love of natural materials and quiet design, Nordstjerne creates simple, sculptural objects that bring a subtle sense of presence to the home. Every piece reflects the care of the hands that shaped it. Less polished, more personal, and always made to last.

Sustainability is woven into both the process and the materials. The folded ornaments are now offered in a fully biodegradable version, made from Katran, a handmade paper created by upcycling discarded cotton fabric from the textile industry. Each string is crafted from Musa, a bio-leather made of banana fibre blended with wool.

These ornaments are light in both feel and footprint. Designed to return gently to the earth when their time is done, they speak to a slower way of decorating, one that honours the season without creating waste.

Founded by Danish designer Henriette Bach, Nordstjerne’s collection is grounded in simplicity, longevity, and the quiet beauty of objects made with care.
