Ester & Erik - Hand-Dipped Candles from Denmark

Since 1987, Ester & Erik has been making candles in Denmark using traditional hand-dipping techniques. Each candle is carefully made and finished by hand, with clean, simple forms and a beautiful depth of colour.

I am especially drawn to their calendar and Advent candles, which turn the weeks leading up to Christmas into a small daily ritual. Lit for a little while each day, they offer a gentle way to mark the season and bring warmth to the darker days of December.

There is a simplicity to Ester & Erik’s candles that feels distinctly Danish — thoughtfully made, quietly beautiful and designed to become part of the traditions we return to year after year.
